SERVICE LEARNING: WEN offers a variety of service learning opportunities for students. We will work with your school to ensure you receive credit for your work as either a volunteer or intern.

INTERNSHIPS: Internships with WEN are dispersed among our many programs depending upon the interest of the student and the number of credit hours needed. Current Intern Projects include: 1) Milltown Dam Journeys Program 2) School Stream Monitoring Program 3) Flagship Coordinator 5) Curriculum Intern and 6) Computer Technican.

Other Possibilities: photo-journalism, grant writing, curriculum brainstorming, database entry, equipment inventory and community outreach. We are open to your ideas! Please visit Griz eRecruitingor contact us for the most up to date list.

THE STREAM TEAM. Stream Team is our community stream monitoring group, consisting of WEN-trained volunteers who independently monitor waterways throughout the Clark Fork watershed. Selected stream reaches typically repeat school monitoring field sites to ensure high quality data collection. It is a good option for those who prefer not to work with children, but would still like to get their feet wet in the creeks and rivers of western Montana.

VOLUNTEER: Our stream monitoring program depends on a strong team of volunteers, both from the general Missoula community and the University of Montana. In addition to assisting with the school program, volunteers can help WEN interns and staff or take on any of the intern projects listed above. All stream monitoring volunteers must attend WEN orientation and one training.
